Frequently Asked Questions

These FAQs do not concern co-production films

Do all films have non-simulated sex scenes ?

No. Some films are planned with simulated sex scenes. It depends on the scenarios and/or roles. However, every scenario feature scenes of full nudity.

Are the shoots paid ?

While the actual filming is unpaid, actors receive royalties (during 4 years) on net sales, less production costs. The gross amount of royalties is calculated at the end of the calendar year and paid within the first few days that follow. The percentage of royalties depends on the number of actors and the importance of the roles.

Royalties are subject to social security contributions (17.20%) and must be declared to the tax administration.

For actors residing abroad without a bank account in France, any transfer costs will be deducted from the royalties.

Where do the filming take place ?

Filming takes place in the Vendôme region (Loir-et-Cher).

In the case of a co-production, and only in this case, filming can take place elsewhere.

See the co-production FAQs.

What about travel and accommodation costs ?

For actors playing a role, accommodation is fully covered for the duration of filming. Transport costs are partially or fully reimbursed upon presentation of prooving documents. The most economic transport costs should be preferred.

For extras, only meals on filming days are covered.

Is there a casting ?

Yes. As much as possible, casting takes place with the director near the city of Vendôme (region Centre). Filming a test segment allows to see the quality of acting, the way of expression and the actor's comfort in front of a lens.

Travel costs are not covered (with rare exceptions), but accommodation for one or two nights is possible.

The castings are filmed and are eligible for royalties.

Without prior casting, participation in a film is not possible.

For actors residing outside France and Belgium, a video will be requested.

For the casting process, click here.

At the end of the casting, an additional photo session can be organized to offer a gallery as a bonus to a DVD.

I am not French, can I take part in films ?

If you are not French, you can participate in films as long as you speak French, English or German.

With rare exceptions, since a film is only shot in one language, all the actors in the same film must speak the same language.

I don't live in France, can I take part in films ?

If you are living abroad (in Europe), and you're european citizen, you can participate in films. If you have a bank account in France, the conditions remain the same. Otherwise, an additional french tax could be charged. Travel costs may be reimbursed. Accommodation will be covered.

Do I have to sign a contract ?

Yes. Signing a contract is essential. To establish the contract we will ask you for your identity, your tax address and all important informations to declare royalties. You will also be asked to provide a copy of you identity card or passport.

Signing a contract is a preliminary condition for any video (castings or films). The above administrative informations must be communicated in advance.

I work with other companies, is this a problem ?

No, unless you are linked to a company by an exclusivity contract.

Can I participate using a pseudonym ?

Yes. This is even an option that we recommend. However, we will ask you to choose a pseudonym that is not “pornographic”.

Can I shoot with my face hidden?

No, concerning the actors, except in the case where the script provides for this option.

This may be possible for extras depending on the scenarios.

Can I choose my partners ?

No. The actors are chosen based on the scenarios and roles. By agreeing to participate in the scenario that we are offering you, you de facto agree to play with the actors who will be selected for it.

For non-simulated acts, am I at risk of being forced into practices that do not suit me ?

No. You will never be constrained on this point. When we offer you a scenario, we consider the informations you have given us about your sexuality. The scenario is then sent to you so that you can read it. By confirming your participation, you agree to the actions which will be required of you.

Are the intercourses protected ?

Protection or not is left to the personal preferences of the actors who make their decision together, in full knowledge of the facts. In case of doubt, protection is preferred. However, this decision must be made before filming. Actually, bareback films are favored (under Prep, in particular).

What happens in the event of a “breakdown” ?

We will do everything we can to help you. The sex scenes are shot separately, except when the script does not allow it. For each shoot, we give enough time to allow the actors moments of privacy if necessary, allowing them to resolve any temporary problems.

Can I use stimulating products during filming?

It all depends on the product. No whatsoever drugs are allowed during the filming period (including outside the working hours). Some products may be authorized, at least in a "reasonable" way, for example to help with erection or sexual activity (viagra or poppers). This is a job that requires concentration and therefore the actor who uses these products must keep his thoughts clear. It is of course forbidden to make other actors take such stimulating products whatsoever without their knowledge.

Will I have to learn text ?

Yes. As the films are all following a script, there are dialogues that must be learned.

How does a shoot take place ?

You will have to be patient. Sometimes, there may be long periods of inactivity for the actors, due to technical preparations. Before filming, the director will explain what he expects from you. One or more rehearsals may be necessary before the famous word "action". It may occur to do several takes of the same scene.

What about the sex scenes ?

Don't expect to find yourself in a situation comparable to what you might experience privately. The director will explain what he expects of you for the necessary shots. Expect actions to be interrupted quite quickly, which can eventually lead to a feeling of frustration. A film is not an intercourse.

Is there any preparation before filming ?

In order to avoid any stress or discomfort, particularly for new actors, at each beginning of filming a specific amount of time is planned to allow them to get to know each other more intimately. On this occasion, sexual acts may be filmed, and this footage may be used later as part of one or more "bonuses".

What should I do to apply ?

Contact us using the application form on the “FAIRE UN FILM” page. Only applications sent via the application form(s) will be considered. No answer will be given to incomplete files.

Is it possible to watch the filming(s) ?

No. Due to the intimate nature of certain scenes, it is not possible to watch the filming(s), even for compagnions, close friends, etc. of the actors. Only the people necessary for filming are on set.

What if I pay?

In this case, you become a sponsor of the film, and as such, you will be able to watch the filming while respecting certain conditions (these conditions may vary). The amount (depending on the film) is a daily fee on the set. This amount does not include accommodation or travel costs. We very rarely accept this type of request.
